Make Your Own Designer Rakhi

This year Rakshabandhan festival falls on 13th August.

Rakhi is a sacred amulet and it reflects a sister’s good wishes, love, for her beloved brother. Tying Rakhi at brother’s wrist implies that she prays for his long life and well-being. If you want to make this sacred and emotional function unique and want to have some intimate tough, hand made Rakhi is a great choice. Take little pain, time, and show your brother how important he is. Try this simple but elegant Rakhi and impress your brother.

Let’s see how to make Rakhi at home easily. It is about basic model, and you can improvise it with your imagination. Visit your local shops and by viewing different Rakhi makes your job simpler and you can get ideas to create perfect Rakhi for your brother.
Materials Required:

Silk thread reel           – 1 

Cotton thread reel       - 1 (it should be matching to your silk thread) 

Old toothbrush

Scissors

Glue

Small artificial pearl beads 

Procedure:

Cut the silk thread reel into 20 to 25 pieces of 25” long. Red and green colours are considered auspicious. However, you can use whatever colour you want. If you want to have a multicolor Rakhi, you can use different colour threads and make it as a bunch.
Take these threads in a bunch and make the ends of all threads meet each other and fold it at the mid point.
With the cotton thread, tie the bundle at 4 -5” below the mid point.

Now, you get two portions. One is longer than the other. Divide the longer portion of the bundle equally into two parts. This is going to be your Rakhi’s string portion. Plait the two parts separately and tie both the ends of the plaits with cotton thread leaving a margin of 2”.
Next, come to the smaller portion of the thread. Cut the loop (smaller portion is still in loop as it is folded) with a scissor at the center.

Using a toothbrush, brush the threads and make them soft and it gives a feathery look. Brush upwards gently until the thread become fluffy and soft. Brush the ends of the strings also.
With the help of glue, stick small pearls at the center of the Rakhi.
If you use red silk thread, then these pearl beads looks like dewdrops on a flower. If you use green colour thread, it looks like dew on grass.
You can decorate the center portion, as you like. Place small circular colour foil and decorate it with beads, chunky etc. You can cut colour sponges in different shapes and decorate with beads.
Use golden threads and Zari to make your Rakhi so gorgeous. For little cute brothers, you can stick cartoon figures. If you want to make it as an auspicious one, stick small Ganesa or Rudraksh.
Make your own Rakhi and celebrate this Rakhi in a grand manner and spirit. Happy Rakhi.

What is Pradosham?

Pradosham literally means the removal of sins. These times are the windows of opportunity to remove karma or karmic energies that limit our potential in this current life.

The 3 Levels of Pradosham

Each energy level indicates how much karma may be released at that time. All levels are designed to help speed our evolution and make our lives easier and happier.
First Level: All Pradoshams occur between 1-1/2 hours before and right up until the moment of sunset in the time zone where you are physically.
The Middle Level: These Pradoshams occur twice each month - on the 13th moon day after the New Moon and after the Full Moon.

The Supreme Level: Sani Pradosham and Soma Pradoshams occurs when one of the 13th moon days occurs on a Saturday or a Monday respectively. It is believed that Shiva has more influence over Saturn on this day and can cause Saturn to loosen or release entirely some of the karmic bonds that limit us. It is also thought that the first Pradosham was on a Saturday and observing this time transports us back to time of the Churning of the Milky Ocean.
• Soma Pradosham - When 13th Moon falls on Monday
Monday is known to be time to worship Shiva, it is the day ruled by His consort, the Goddess Parvati who rules over the Moon. The Moon rules emotions and emotions influence thought. Karma is created by thought.

நவகிரகங்கள் மிகவும் சுபராகப் கருதப்படுபவர் குருவாவார்.இவர் ஒவ்வொரு வருஷமும் ஒரு ராசியிலிருந்து மற்றொரு ராசிக்குப் பெயர்ச்சியாவதையே நாம் "குருப் பெயர்ச்சி" என்கிறோம்.இவர் பெயர்ச்சி ஆகும் பொழுது ஒவ்வொருவரின் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையாகட்டும் அல்லது நாடாகட்டும் அல்லது உலகமாகட்டும் எல்லாவற்றிலும் ஒரு மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படச் செய்வார்.
இந்த 2011 ம் ஆண்டிலே குருவானவர் 08.05.2011 ம் தேதி சித்தரை மாதம் 25 ம் தேதி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை காலை சுமார் 9.23 மணிக்கு மீன ராசியிலிருந்து மேஷ ராசிக்குப் பெயர்ச்சி ஆகிறார்.அங்கு அவர் சஞ்சாரம் செய்யும் காலத்தில் 31.8.2011 அன்று வக்ரம் ஆகி 26.12.2011 அன்று வக்ர நிவர்த்தி ஆகிறார்.அதன் பின் அவர் 16.05.2012 அன்று ரிஷப ராசிக்கு பெயர்ச்சி ஆகிறார்.
"வக்ரம்" என்றால் பின்னோக்கி செல்வதாகும் இருப்பினும் அவர் மேஷ ராசியில் சமார் 1 ஆண்டு காலம் சஞ்சாரம் செய்யும் பொழுது ஏற்படும் நற்பலன் மற்றும் கெடுபலன்கள் இரண்டையும் ஒவ்வொரு லக்னக்காரர்களுக்கும் என்னமாதிரியான பலன்களை ஏற்படுத்துவார் என்பதை மிகவும் விரிவாக விளக்கியுள்ளோம்.
"குருவானவர்" சுபரானவரே.அவர் எப்படி கெடுபலன்களைத் தருவார் என்பது பல வாசக நேயர்கள் கேட்பது எனக்கு புரிகிறது.அடிப்படையில் ஒவ்வொரு கிரகத்திற்கும் நற்பலன் மற்றும் கெடுபலன் இரண்டும் தருவதற்கு அதிகாரம் உடையவர்கள்.எனவே ஒவ்வொருவரின் தனிப்பட்ட ஜாதகத்தை வைத்து மட்டுமே இறுதியான பலன்களைக் கூற முடியும்.இருப்பினும் "குரு" பார்க்க கோடி தோஷம் நீங்கும் என்று நமது மகரிஷிகள் உரைத்துள்ளனர்.எனவே அவர் மேஷ ராசியில் அசுபதி,பரணி,கார்த்திகை இந்த முன்று நட்சத்திரங்கள் வாயிலாக சஞ்சாரம் செய்யும் பொழுது ஒவ்வொரு லக்னதாரர்களுக்கும் என்ன மாதிரியான பலன்களை தருவார் என்பதை மிக விரிவாக விஞ்ஞான ரீதியாக எழுதியுள்ளோம்.
"ராகு-கேது" பெயர்ச்சி 08-06-2011 அன்றும் சனிப்பெயர்ச்சி 15-11-2011 அன்று பின் இரவும் பெயர்ச்சி ஆகிறார்கள்.இப்படி முக்கிய கிரகங்கள் எல்லாம் இவ்வாண்டு பெயர்ச்சியாவதையும் கணக்கில் கொண்டே நாம் பலன்கள் அடுத்துவரும் 08-06-2011 லிருந்து ஒன்றரை ஆண்டுகள் பலன்களையும் சனியானவர் 15-11-2011 க்குப்பின் இரண்டரை ஆண்டுகளையும் பலன் அளிக்கவல்லார்கள்.
எனவே நாம் குரு,ராகு,கேது,சனி இந்த நான்கு கிரகங்களையும் வைத்து பலன்களை விரிவாக விளக்கியுள்ளோம்.இதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள நற்பலன்கள் மற்றும் கெடுபலன்கள் எல்லாம் பொதுவானவையாகும்.எனவே வாசகர்கள் தங்களின் தனிப்பட்ட ஜாதகத்தின்படி தான் நல்லது மற்றும் கெட்டது நடக்கும் என்பதை உணர்வீர்களாக.

விதி .தற்பொழுது ஆங்காங்கே உள்ள ஒரு சில ஊர்களில் உள்ள கோவில்களும் குருவுக்கு வழிபாடு ஸ்தலமாக அநேக குருப்பெயர்ச்சி நூல்களிலும்,புஸ்தகங்களிலும் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.எனவே அவரவர் ஊர்களில் உள்ள பழமையான சிவன் கோவிலில் தட்சுணாமூர்த்தியை வழிபடுதல் மூலம் நற்பலன் அதிகரிக்கும் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.
நம்முடைய வலைதள நேயர்கள் உலகம் முழுவதிலும் பரந்து விரிந்துள்ளதால் குரு பகவானை மனதால் நினைத்து குருவுடைய காயத்திரி மந்திரமான.

என்பதையும் வியாழக்கிழமை தோறும் நினைத்து அவரை வணங்கிவர வரக்கூடிய கெடுபலன்களைக் கலைந்த நற்பலன்களை நமக்கு நல்குவார் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.
மேலும் "குரு" மட்டுமே நம் ஜாதகத்தை இயக்குவதில்லை மற்றும் உள்ள 8 கிரகங்களும் மேலும் தற்பொழுது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள யுரேனஸ் மற்றும் நெப்டியூன் போன்ற கிரகங்களும் நம் வாழ்க்கையை இயக்குவதால் நாம் எதற்கும் கவலைப்படாமல் இறைவன் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து நம் கடமையைச் செய்து வர சகல நலன்களும் நமக்கு கிடைக்கும்.
நாம் பூர்வஜென்மத்தில் என்ன பாவம் மற்றும் புண்ணியம் செய்துள்ளோமோ அதற்குத் தக்கபடித்தான் இச்ஜென்மத்தில் நாம் நற்பலன் மற்றும் கெடுபலன்களை அனுபவிக்க முடியும்.எனவே நாம் எப்பொழுதும் நல்லதே நினைப்போம்.நல்லதே நடக்கும்.எல்லோரும் எல்லா நலன்களும் பெற்று அவரவர்கள் விருப்பம் ஆசை,அபிலாசைகள் பூர்த்தியாக எல்லாம்வல்ல பரம்பொருளாகிய "குருபகவான்" அருள் புரிவாராக.
