Tenet of Upanishad.
Bruhu is very invasive. He went to his father and asked” I would like to know what is Brahmam?” The father said it was not as easy as you think... He gave three qualities to define brahmam...Bruhu sought to find out it and his father told him to perform penance and found out. He returned after a short time and told his father that he had found out what is Brahmam. The is one, which is within all things, and without this, no one can exist. Yes,…ANNAM – food is Brahmam. The father said it is not accurate answer and Bruhu set off again and returned. This time he told his father that brahmam is AIR and his father denied this. He yet again went and returned; this time he got the reply as MIND is Brahmam. The father was not convinced. He all over again came out with an answer KNOWLEDGE which also was not correct. Six months disappeared and six years vanished Bruhu did not return. His father searched for him and at last, he found Bruhu who was jumping with happy. He told his father that joy, happiness is brahmam.
“First we start to search about Brahmam. The is called enquiry…the enquiry about brahmam when it results in self-realization; then the knowledge so acquired becomes experience. What is experience cannot be expressed. This is the tenet of Upanishad.”
