Day after day after day, all of us wake up to heart-rending news of natural and man-made calamities, strife, unacceptable and inhuman behavior of humans to fellow humans and to other living / non-living creations of God … and we allow ourselves to be engulfed by the all-pervading gloom !
But isn’t this reality that is unfolding before us now the very essence of Kali-Yuga, as prophesied by the great Rishis and Munis of the Yugas that passed by ?!
The answer, sadly, is yes !!
So what do noble souls do to ensure that the glorious days of those Yugas are re-created, to align the minds of everyone along the path of prayers, service, righteousness, love, peace and universal brotherhood, and to lessen the pain of suffering ?!
There is a way. In fact, just the solitary path…
As the Lord Himself said, the ONLY route to happiness, peace, realization and salvation, in today’s times, is Naama Sankeerthanam, or the chanting of the Divine Name !
It is indeed heartening to note that quite similar to the Bhakthi Movement between 800 and 1700 AD – that went beyond superstitions, artificial beliefs and rituals, guiding and encouraging everyone to embrace God and have COMPLETE faith in Him, thereby saving our Motherland from total spiritual collapse – we are seeing a huge Naama Sankeerthanam revival during our times.
Needless to mention, the great Bhajan Gurus and Bhaagavathaas have brought about this pleasant change
