Bihar will have a six phased assembly poll, Chief Election Commisioner SY Qureshi said in New Delhi on Monday.
The elections will be held on October 21 (in 47 seats), Oct 24 (45 seats), Oct 28 (48 seats), November 1 (42 seats), Nov 9 (35 seats), Nov 20 (26 seats).
The counting of votes will be begin on November 24.
With the announcement of the polling schedule, the model code of conduct has come into force in Bihar, CEC Qureshi said.
